Is there any way to send MIDI from Pianostream to the Yamaha UD-WL01 Wireless LAN adapter that comes included with the Yamaha DGB1K ENST? The Enspire Controller App must be sending MIDI somehow...

Looks like you set that piano to ghost mode.

I have a Yamaha G1 wagon grand (DOM-30 and DRC-24 all of which work perfectly). The BTO1 will work on it? Anything else that needs to be done? Also, will that only play solo and if not is there a way to get orchestration/vocals to work on the wagon grand as well?

Problem is: Yamaha no longer supports any of those models. If they fail, you're on your own.

1.All pins are different in their head position, tuning heads will not fit all equally. 2. Not all strings are the same amount out if tune . 3. With huge torque if pins your hand will go numb with such short lever handle and weight of the hammer. Will not work out.

Wow, how cool. It sounds like the piano is slightly ahead of the audio.

Using the widi master, I was able to get several pianos playing the same song and the same time with a Widi Master and Widi Jacks at the same time.

Saved me a lot of time on a 2008 endeavor for anyone reading the air intake has a bracket under it it’s a little tricky but as long as you undo the hoses and the two bolts on the bracket you don’t need to worry about the long bolts he had to take out and loosen Also if you have a misfire don’t just replace the spark plug take the ignition coil of the spark plug you are replacing and move it to one of the front ones you can get to easily that is if it’s in the back, but that way if it misfires again, you know, it’s the ignition coil that you moved

I am trying to figure out if I can use the PianoDisc system MIDI input to compose in real-time from the output of my laptop or MIDI controller/sequencer. Is that possible? I have access to a Grand with a PDS-128 system installed on it

Richie - thanks for your awesome work. I have one of these pianos. I bought the Yamaha DKC850 to work with this. The power supply blew up and took a while to get a new one back. It is working now. However, the music sounds broken. Do you have any tips or perhaps a video on how to connect the DKC to MX100 II? There is no connector for this, so perhaps you can shed some light on it for me please! Appreciate your inputs

Did you just flip the DIP switches to go into DKC850 mode, or is there something else you did? Where did you get that cable? Did you have it made? Sounds great…

Also, what rod type and size do you use for 115? Is the manual correct that you cannot run more than 70 amps off 115 V so 1/16 or 5/64?? Thanks Richie!

Richie, I have the DKC5R controller, which has the floppy drive, installed on an Yamaha MX85 upright piano. It has failed and I have tried to install MIDI cables, with an iPad using CUBASIS LE3. I connot seem to get it to work. I am looking for either suggestions for options, or where I could purchase a replacement box. By the way your video is very informative, thank you

Richie Richie Richie! My friend's parents have owned a PDS228 for almost 2 decades. They'd never used the player piano function. They weren't interested in spending a fortune gathering outdated player piano floppy disks and WHO COULD BLAME THEM? I made it my mission to give that piano a chance to shine in the modern era. I've learned so many things from your videos and would like to share my solution process. I bought some 1.44 mb disks online. I hooked up the MD-BT01 to the MIDI in but needed to supply power (as you've explained). I know you make custom power cables, but I wanted to try my hand at it. Here is what worked for me: MD-BT01 MIDI out -> female to female midi adapter -> MIDI to USB power cable -> USB wall charger. It ran me about 20 dollars. I formatted the floppy disk in the PDS228, switched to passthrough, convinced them to subscribe to PianoStream and BOOM! It was a happy happy New Years Eve for everyone! PianoStream is a beautifully designed app by the way. You really thought of everything. Now I have two questions for you: 1. Is there a way you could allow PianoStream to reorient with rotated devices? I'm not sure what goes into that, but the device that streams to my friend's PDS228 is a sideways wall-mounted iPad. 2. The player piano volume is stuck on my friend's piano. It believe it's a Yamaha DU1A upright. As mentioned before, it uses a PDS228. It's unpleasantly loud for casual use. They claim it had that issue when they bought it, but I would like to fix it if I can. Do you have any leads that come to mind? Thank you for putting so much effort into all that you do. I mention your brilliance every time I talk about player pianos. You really have created something amazing and have brought a lot of joy to others. Hey Richie, I hope you don't mind me contacting you. I'm trying to work on an old PianoDisc PDS128S+ and I've run into a wall troubleshooting. The Problem - The keys don't move when called for by the PDS128S+ Things I've done: I've checked the power supply, all the fuses are ok. There is 40V DC coming out of the one plug going to the solenoid control board The test button in the back does nothing The PDS128S+ turns on and plays floppy disks through the speaker (background) I've checked to make sure Piano is in the On position I can pres 1 and 4 to go to setup mode but there is no response from any of the keys when I cycle through them. I'm not sure what I should be checking next. Do you have a troubleshooting guide or perhaps any suggestions or recommendations on what to try next? Thank you for your videos. Been watching them to help with the issue.
